Overview of Masters Swimming United States Masters Swimming (USMS) is a national organization that provides organized workouts, competitions, clinics and workshops for adults aged 18 and over. USMS has 42,000 members nationwide and is open to all adult swimmers dedicated to improving their fitness through swimming. There are swimmers who are interested in fitness swimming only and others who are interested in triathlons, swim meets, and open water swimming. USMS is broken into 53 local masters swim committees (LMSC). Pacific Masters, which has 10,000 members, is the regional organization for Northern California and Nevada.
